I like this video.
Now, as I walk the streets of Brooklyn looking for that perfect place to live, I can’t help but face the utter realities of the cost of living in New York. We’re all here, fighting for that one square inch of real estate. That apartment that’s quiet, but conveniently close to everything. The safe neighborhood. Access to a subway. Across the street from a laundrymat and down the road from that killer grocery store.
I meet people, talk to my potential roommates, look at space after space of vacant rooms and am told over and over again about how wonderful of a place this apartment is.
So I keep walking. Trying to find perfection with the best neighborhood, the best roommates, a room with any sort of decent size to it. And all at a price I can afford.
So I keep walking.
